MINUTES OF THE MEETING

A meeting of all the teaching staff was convened in the office of the principal vide Office Order No. 607 dated 30/08/2021 which was attended by most of the staff members with the exception of two staff members.

The meeting started by the recitation of the verses of the Holy Quran recited by Mr. Jawad Ali, Junior Instructor.

The honorable principal on chair welcomed the teaching staff on the commencement of the new session which is also starting a month late due to the effect of the previous session which was badly effected by Covid-19 and has delayed the board exam, result of which is still pending and not declared so far now, consequently it will badly effect the admission process of the newly students seeking admission in 1st year.

The principal on chair also reviewed the academic activities of the previous session and presented short glimpses to the staff about its pros and cons while expressing satisfaction on some activities up to some extent. The principal stressed upon the staff not to repeat the weaknesses of the last session as were observed during the academic activities.

It was inculcated to the staff that every individual staff member should utilize his full potential in the best interest of the institute and their students.

Mr. Tariq Ali, Assistant Professor Civil Department, said that the process of struck off students of the previous session was not properly followed which created problems during the submission of examination form in the office of the clerk and local controller of examination. The principal noted the point and ensured that such practice should not be repeated in the new academic session. Once a student is struck off his case will be followed within real time and will not be left in a cold storage.

Mr. Shah Rome, Associate Professor Civil Department, suggested that there should be a proper monitoring system to have check on the students/teachers classes which was agreed by all and a committee to this effect was devised. The principal appreciated this point raised by Mr. Shah Rome, Associate Professor.

The Principal directed all the staff members to put their student’s attendance and lectures delivered of the day in the M&E system of KP-TEVTA as created for the purpose.

The staff was given instructions to follow the SOPs for Covid-19 as laid down by KP-TEVTA and NCOC of Pakistan and to also give such instructions to the students regarding
Covid-19.

The extra duty/duties assigned during the previous session were reconsidered, reviewed and re-distributed among the staff by keeping in view their past potential and efficiency in order to run the affairs efficiently and smoothly.
